Custom Portraiture
by Oisín Casey Galloway
Meet the artist:
Oisín Casey Galloway is a 20 year old realistic figurative artist living in Wellington, New Zealand, with his partner and two cats, Milo and Jesper.
He creates paintings to connect with the physical world, with a focus on having material reminders of memories and loved ones. Oisín strives to capture the quiet, beautiful moments of life, especially within pet and people portraiture.
Every painting is a process of discovery, from start to finish. I want my artworks to bring joy and life to the space they exist in. I seek to capture beauty from the natural world and immortalize them in the form of art. Every subject gets the time and respect it deserves to find the likeness and whimsy of the real world.
It’s an honour to contribute in my own small way to the wider creative world, and I strive to continue learning and to be curious about life.
From my easel, to your home:
All of my artworks are specially created with high quality artist materials through alla prima techniques. I can paint or draw a variety of animals and people, and enjoy the process of creating a bespoke piece unique to you. Every portrait has a story I’m excited to tell.
